Both Piedmont Peds and UVA run COVID tests through UVA Labs, so to get your child’s results sent directly to you:
* Teens (13 years of age and up) can set up their own My Chart accounts at mychart.com.
* For children <13 years old, parents/caregivers need to go to mychart.com and set up a UVA Health My Chart for yourself first.
* Next, set up a chart for your child here: https://childrens.uvahealth.com/patient-info/access-mychart
* Then email this completed form https://hit.healthsystem.virginia.edu/…/parent-legal…/ to mychart@virginia.edu.
(This is a one time step required for minors. You can also call 434-243-2500 for help.)
* Once your child’s chart is set up, all COVID-19 test results will appear as soon as the lab enters the information.
All those with positive test results will receive a follow-up phone call.
Results for all tests are typically available within 24-48 hours.

Report COVID-19 home test results safely and privately:
“The National Institutes of Health has launched a website MakeMyTestCount.org which allows people to anonymously report the results of any brand of at-home COVID-19 test.
Data collected is anonymous and sent to public health systems that receive test results from laboratories and doctor’s offices. Users provide general information such as age and zip code and have the option to include race, ethnicity, sex, and symptoms, but it is not required.
‘It’s anonymous, which I think is important for people wanting to maintain their privacy. At the same time, it’s also completely voluntary,’ Andrew Weitz, Ph.D., a program director at the NIH and co-lead of the project, told ABC News.”
