Dear patients and families at Piedmont Pediatrics,
After 20 amazing years caring for children and families at Piedmont Pediatrics, I will be
transitioning from my practice in mid-May to accept a new role at UVA as Medical
Director of a clinic serving children with complex medical needs.
This decision was one of the most challenging decisions I have ever made, the result of
many prayers, tears, and sleepless nights. Caring for your children and watching them
grow has been the greatest honor of my professional life. It has been such a privilege to
share in so many milestones — welcoming your babies, celebrating developmental
achievements, supporting you through illnesses and challenges, and watching so many
children grow into remarkable young people. The relationships I have built with you all
mean more to me than I can express.
Please know that your children’s ongoing care is very important to me. Our practice is
committed to ensuring a smooth transition, and my colleagues will continue to provide
the thoughtful, high-quality care that you deserve. The office will be available to help
guide you through this transition and answer any questions you may have.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your children’s lives. It has been my great honor
to walk alongside you. I will carry these memories and relationships in my heart forever.
With deep gratitude,
Carol
