Our Providers

Dr. Carol Boersma grew up in Arlington, Virginia. She attended college at Stanford University and then lived and worked in Boston, Massachusetts for two years prior to attending medical school at the University of Virginia. Her fondness for Charlottesville led Carol to stay at the University of Virginia for her residency training as well, where she was honored with multiple awards for teaching and clinical excellence. Upon completion of her residency in the summer of 2005, Carol was delighted to join Piedmont Pediatrics. She and her husband Jonathan have 3 children (Sam, Will and Jake). Outside of work, Carol enjoys running, swimming, knitting, and involvement with her church. Carol is fluent in American Sign Language.
